Welcome to Carpenters Local 90
It is recorded in “Finishers Trade Review” under the date of December 16, 1865 that, “At a Convention held in New York City on September 5, 1865 for the purpose of forming a National Carpenters Union, Evansville, Indiana Union was represented.” This Union received the first charter issued by the newly formed National Union, and it was afterwards known as Local Union #1 of Evansville, Indiana. This Union was later chartered as Carpenters Local 90 into the United Brotherhood of Carpenters on May 23, 1885 with 60 Charter Members. Our current membership stands at over 750 today and growing.

Indiana counties of: Crawford, Dubois, Perry, Posey, Spencer, Warrick,
Vanderburgh and the southern part of Pike.
MAC Committee
Our Membership Action Committee is active on many fronts and include, local politics such as school boards and local government, volunteer in our communities building wheel-chair ramps, habitat homes, etc. and help out our members and their families in time of need. We are currently assisting with the construction of the Holly’s House facility in Evansville. This facility, when completed, will assist and provide counseling to sexually abused children and adults throughout Vanderburgh and surrounding counties.

At Local 90’s Union Hall—3rd Monday of each month—4:30 pm.
New Member Orientation
This gives our Local 90 Representatives an opportunity to explain the benefits that you will receive as a Union Carpenter and a chance for the members to ask questions about the Union, Apprenticeship Program, Pension, Annuity and Health & Welfare plans. Your spouses are invited and encouraged to attend these meetings as well. You will receive notification of these meeting dates and times by mail or phone.
